“ I chose ledger as my main expressive art form because it has a strong historical and cultural presence. It appeals to both my Plains cultures of Southern Plains (Comanche - Kiowa) and Northern Plains (Blackfeet). The journey of my art begins with my antique ledger paper. I collect paper from 1805-1903 and to be historically accurate I only use paper from Oklahoma and Montana.”
